What To Do With Kids in LA

Admin Standard

The world famous City of Angels is known for the movie industry, sophistication, the beautiful people, glitz, glamour, and basically sunshine and all things wonderful. Whilst this is all very true, there are also many family-friendly attractions and activities to enjoy, which makes LA a very accessible place to visit for the whole family, children included. This is great news for those who want to experience this city of glamour with the kids in tow.

The beach and surrounding area is a wonderful place to visit, and you’ll find many walking and hiking trails too, which are ideal for a spot of outdoorsy fun as a family, but if you’re looking for dedicated attractions for the little ones, check out these suggestions.

California Science Centre & IMAX Theatre

Combining education and fun is a great way to help your kids learn, and this is one of the best places to head to do exactly that. Also huge popular, so do beware of queues, there are displays and interactive attractions which are linked to movies and TV, which grabs attention instantly, with science experiments to try. The on-site IMAX theatre is also a major pull on the kid’s attention!

Pacific Park

When you picture an old fashioned seaside amusement park, you will probably have Pacific Park in your mind. Located on Santa Monica Pier, there are many retro rides here to enjoy, as well as candy floss and other funfair-related fun items. The Ferris wheel is also the only solar-powered wheel in the whole world, and the kids will love the views and excitement of being so high up.

Universal Studios Hollywood

This is a world famous attraction that the bare mention of visiting will send the kids into an excited thrill! With the huge rides on offer, obviously all related to the movie world, this is an action-packed and full day out. The world’s largest 3D attraction is located here, the King Kong 360 3D, amongst many others, including the famous Los Angeles Studio Tour. If you want to tire the kids out, certainly head here!

Los Angeles Zoo

Highlighting important conservational issues, whilst also being a fun day out, LA Zoo is a must visit, as well as the attached botanical gardens. You will find more than 1000 animals here, including snow leopards and gorillas, to name just two, and over 7000 different types of plants.

K1 Speed Indoor Karting

Ideal for slightly older kids who need to burn off a bit of energy, head to the Tempat Wisata di Majalengka and race each other around the field, in high tech karts, before heading to refreshments or snacks afterward at the onsite cafe.

LA may be known for its glittering nightlife, iconic Walk of Fame, Hollywood Sign, and endless designer shopping opportunities, but there’s more to this ever-bright city. LA is a kid-friendly destination, and if your little one is interested in the world of movies, even better!
